Primary Standard Liquid Flow Calibrators

The Liquid Flow Calibrator (LFC) line is a new generation of state-of-the-art, primary standard, positive displacement, liquid flow calibrators. The vastly improved design is available in four sizes, a maximum flow of 1 GPM, 10 GPM, 60 GPM, and 400 GPM. Total System Uncertainty is +/- 0.05% (k=2) or better. Typically 0.02% is realizable.  These flowmeter calibrators are compatible with all turbine meters, frequency output flowmeters, analog output flowmeters, and variable area (rotameter) flowmeters. These flow calibrators are the most advanced available. Just ask the American military.

CFP-400-Compuflow Solutions

CFP-400

The CFP-400 flow calibrator was developed for the U.S. Air Force. With a flowrate of 0.2–400 GPM, this primary standard is meant for flowmeters in the 2” diameter range.

CFP-060

The CFP-060 flow calibrator was developed for the U.S. Army. With a flowrate of 0.03–60 GPM, this primary standard calibrator is meant for flowmeters in the 1” diameter range.

CFP-101-Compuflow Solutions

CFP-010

The CFP-010 flow calibrator was developed for the U.S. Air Force.  With a flowrate of 0.005–10 GPM, this primary standard calibrator is meant for flowmeters in the 1/2” diameter range.

CFP-001-Compuflow Solutions

CFP-001

The CFP-001 flow calibrator was developed for the U.S. Army. The special standard has a flowrate of 0.001–1.0 GPM. It is meant for ultra-low rate flowmeters, that no other primary standard can reach.  The novel design does not use the classical piston, as the flowtube would be too small.

Secondary Standard Liquid Flow Calibrators

Piranha

Piranha is a dual turbine-meter based portable flow calibration system which has a default range of 0.09–350 GPM (0.34-1300 lpm). The Manifold consists of a 2” and ½” extended-range helical-rotor turbine meters and a pneumatic blocking valve. Piranha uses a small portable touch screen PC as the Operator Interface, for maximum flexibility to control the manifold and read the meter-under-test (MUT). Estimated uncertainty is +/- 0.15% or better. The system also supports Universal Viscosity Curve (UVC) calibration curves for extended dynamic range. The system includes a variant of our CFlow+, Windows-based Flow Calibration software. Because the control system is a PC, Piranha can support a near infinite number of master meter files, fluid files, and MUT calibration files.

CFL-250

Developed for the U.S. Army, the Liquid Flow Working Standard (LFWS) is a self-contained flow loop calibration system. It consists of closed loop pump capable of developing from 0-250 GPM with simple motor speed control. The fluid is run in a folded line to form a double test section for large master meters and test meters. The system is capable of temperature and pressure control. The computer system uses our Windows Flow Calibration software (CFlow+) to measure the flowrate from the user supplied master meter and compare that to the signal developed by the user’s test meters. Uncertainty is dependent on the user’s choice of master meters. The system includes detailed diagnostic procedures, complete documentation, and on-site installation and training. Custom configurations are available.

CFL-100

Developed for the U.S. Air Force, the Liquid Flow Working Standard (LFWS) is a self-contained flow loop calibration system. It consists of closed loop pump capable of developing from 0-100 GPM with simple motor speed control. The system includes detailed diagnostic procedures, complete documentation, and on-site installation and training and will roll though a standard size door. Custom configurations are available.

CFL-100HP-Compuflow Solutions

CFL-100HP

This special variant of the flow loop was designed for the U.S. Army to do flow calibration and high pressure static testing of special 100 cSt hydraulic fluid up to 100 GPM, requiring an extra powerful pump and cooling system.

Eight Channel Flow Transfer Standard

This device designed for the U.S. Army as a combination instrument meant to serve as an eight channel flow computer and a flow transfer standard (FTS). The software package, Lysis reads up to eight independent flow meter channels from the device and displays all flowrate information. Another version of CFlow+ is used to operate the device as a secondary flow standard where flowmeters are used to calibrate other flowmeters. The system is a self-contained, touch-screen, ruggedized controller. It is designed to take into the field.  The system is also available to two-channel and four-channel versions.

CFSNC-250 (Sonic Gas Flow Calibrator)

Developed for the U.S. Air Force, the Sonic Gas Flow Calibrator (SGFC) is a sonic nozzle flow calibration system. It consists of twelve, binary sized sonic nozzles in two manifolds that conform to ISO-9300. The system (in the base configuration) will develop 0.1–250 SCFM (3-7080 SLPM) from 20–110 PSIA, with a total system uncertainty of +/- 0.35% (k=2). The operator, under computer control, may select a single nozzle or any combination of nozzles to develop the desired flowrate manually, or may give total control to the computer’s advanced algorithm that precisely selects the correct nozzle combination and inlet pressure to obtain the desired flowrate. The operator may even select a series of desired flowrates and allow the computer to calibrate the device under test without operator intervention. The nozzle manifolds can easily be removed for service and calibration. The system includes manifold carrying cases, detailed diagnostic procedures, user defined programmable test language, complete documentation, and on-site installation and training.
